Onspot is a competing brand to Rudd They work way better than you think and are best used on icy or hardpacked roads. Not real good in more than 6 inches of fresh snow unless it is quite dry. They engage and disengage while moving. About $2200,00 at today's exchange rate. Those that have them would not run without them. They will last forever if maintained even slightly..... Awesome product in the right application. Yes they have snow chain district approvals now.

Triples are required in BC or 4 singles....all tires on an axle need to be chained.

Installing these RUD autochains on both drive axles this winter, just deciding on which wheel options.

Thinking about going to the full 18 chain wheels ...

Anyone tried the different wheels available ??

I just used a set. Unknown what brand . They did work well, but only go under the inside wheel and this was a single axle dump truck.
They are very easy to engage and disengage.

I’ve always heard the no good in deep snow comments but I was plowing so can’t comment.

Will update when I get more experience with them.

I’ve got the 10 strands on mine.
All 4 axles. They work well just don’t be ploughing thru deep snow. Used them about 10 times this last trip. SLC - Oregon.
A few chain law places and getting in and out of a few yards. This is the fourth winter with them on.

Mine are onspots too apparently. They are easily deployed but in hard going 3 railers give better traction……
