We run steers in the summer and that aggressive v pattern recap that’s popular in BC . I had Yokohama closed shoulder tires but I kept getting stuck at unplowed yards that melted and refroze so I swapped to the v pattern I’m impressed as I’ve never had a tire with that much traction before .

Just a quick chime in,
I ended up going with Goodyear G182's on my truck, when my XDN2's wore out. That was a big mistake, great in the summer/mud/yards etc etc. HORRIBLE on ice, frozen snow. Sold the truck with them on there after 150K so, can't comment to much on life.
All our new Daycabs have XDS2's, and honestly it would have to be these or XDN2's for me going forward, everything else seems to be a waste of time up here in Canada.Rideandrepair, Another Canadian driver, BobO1176 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Like you, the price in 2020 and 2021 was horrendous on XDN’s so Fountain Tire recommended a clone made by Ironhead. They have been as good in the winter conditions as the more expensive tires, visually look identical like most Chinese clones, and only wearing slightly faster. Will need new drives in the fall and will see where Michelins are priced at that time.

I’ve got these an a dump truck that I’m plowing with . Traction seems good but with a sander , chains and plows it’s a whole different word..Another Canadian driver and Rideandrepair Thank this. -

Yep, I have been looking at 454 as well. I have used the highway control T on my great Dane and they are fantastic trailer tires. Those along with the Olson premium trailer re-tread (meekoff) have been the best trailer tires.
