I drove for Cypress back around 2013ish. I did the gipsom (drywall) run. We worked 16 hours a day, drove for 14. Paid by the load, driving the most non-road worthy piles of poop. After 4 months I left.
As of my time there, the Penlands owned Cypress and purchased Ploof which became Sun Belt (I believe). I guess the male siblings were all Marines. If you werent a Marine, its a major strike against you. I slaved under Bob Pace and was verbally assaulted, like all the drivers, by his cowardice and worthless ###. He claimed to be a retired Marine, but a couple other drivers and office people invited him outside to finish that current discussion. He never backed up his words. When I quit, I went to his little window (youll see what I mean) and let him and all within earshot know that he was a coward and never a Marine. He just sat there and listened...because he hides behind the Pendlans and I was a free agent. Im sure he left by now. To be completely honest, I hope someone gutted him like a deer and left him to bleed out. Maybe the flatbed side was/is run better?
I wish you the best with them and also out there exploring our beautiful nation. If youd like to chat, send me a PM and ill help you however I can. -

Now that said, you already seem to have a grip on things, however, if your load is shifting in any way shape or form, you need to work on that, nothing more dangerous than something falling off a truck and causing an accident or killing someone.
Why?
See below ...
So the OP, get 12 to 18 months of experience, which helps land the next job.lual Thanks this.
