Nothing like night time winter driving and haji and gang blowing your doors off. Glad I made it through without the idiots wrecking and ruining stuff. Roads opened up so I decided to get through the “snow zone” that is flagstaff. Think I salvaged this week miles wise.

Alright, I have 2 things to bring up, and this will be the end of it.
1) Does anyone who is enrolled in the Knight/Swift Holdings 401K know when the yearly company match is going to happen? It usual takes place on or around the 8th of February.
2) As a person who tries to keep up on my record, I requested my HireRight/DAC report last week just to make sure there was nothing put on it out of the ordinary. Well I got it last night. I will now give kudos to Abilene. Because it’s been over 30 days since I left, my report is fully updated. Nothing out of the ordinary has been put in it, and, they say if I ever want to join the rank and file again, (never) I’m more than welcome to come in the front door.4mer trucker, MidWest_MacDaddy, dwells40 and 6 others Thank this. -

Did some local work today. Better than sitting around on the yard. Hauled an AMX trailer from the Sam's Club DC in Prince George to a Sam's Club store in Baltimore, then hauled an empty back to the DC. Picked up a loaded trailer there and brought it back to the yard, where it will become someone else's problem tomorrow. Currently hooked to a trailer heading south to Dublin, GA. Due Monday, but it's a drop and I'll have it there tomorrow.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
Terminal manager called me and said they were going to put this load on this coming check though it delivers Monday. Guess they wouldn’t be able to cover it if dropped in Columbus. Don’t like the looks of the turns gotta make in Zelionople, Pa to get to get to the place gotta deliver to, look kinda tight. Got my trailer axles slid back since the idiots in reno loaded tail heavy. From there bounce pass the house to the charcoal plant in Parsons, Wv. Been there few times with another company I worked for. Then drop that on the Richmond yard. Due for pm service plus I think my batteries are bad cuz truck don’t want to start after key is off more than ten-fifteen minutes. Tried to park at the Loves in Etna, OH but darn place was full at 1600 so went to the Pilot at 126. Didn’t feel like cooking and went in but all the hot food was slim pickings. Think Ill just fast tonight. Ill a 34 in here. At least the delivery Monday is open 24 hrs so can get up early like I prefer to.

Ran out of hours and parked at the hole in the wall travel center north of beckley on us19 yesterday. Woke up at 0230 to get rolling and weather got bad last night, rain turned to snow and it was snowing hard and the roads were completely covered. Waited to see if plows were running but none to be seem so took off and drove 20 mph rest of the way to the wv turnpike. Two hrs to go 40 miles. Thankfully it cleared up when I got to the interstate and roads were just wet. Of course I almost got sideswiped and then shoved off the road and almost into a guard rail by a haji pulling an empty car carrier trailer going way too fast and too scared to move over left. Thankfully I live in WV and know that road well as to where the edges are. Scheduled for PM tomorrow morning and need batteries replaced, said they will try to get me pulled in today if able to.

Delivered in Panama City, now im deadheading up to near Savannah, for a drop at the Richmond yard tommorrow.
Lonesome and jarhead0311 Thank this. -
They got my truck in today instead of tomorrow for the PM service and batteries replaced. Got set up for a Hill Phoenix to Davenport, Fl which was due Thursday night and I had to be a jerk to get my point across with not sitting for free, so terminal manager finally agreed to pay half a day layover for sitting all day Thursday. Ever since he got hired I have not gotten paid detention nor layover when I should have. Nobody in the official is going to work for free so why expect any drivers to do it? It was the only load available tomorrow. Then I get the news my truck was red tagged until tomorrow because the DEF level sensor needs replaced which explains why my DEF tank stayed full for an entire week couple weeks ago. I thought maybe the doser needed checked. I hate being an arsehole but if that is what is needed to get my point across then so be it far as getting paid what I should be paid.
MidWest_MacDaddy, Bumper, ExtremeUnction and 5 others Thank this.
