If you legitimately think GasBuddy is for finding truck diesel, this is going to be entertaining.
I stand by my point. You don't know enough about the trucking industry in general, to be ready to be an owner operator.

Keep looking thru them. I’ve seen the posts your looking answers too, regardless, some will chime in here. When I first joined way way back, I used the search feature and literally spent like 2 days using it and went thru every post on what I was looking for.

First It's a bad time to become an owner operator. December through February are slow months in general, and it's been slower than usual.
Bigger companies get the best fuel discounts. Your examples are pump prices. Your company should be able to tell you the discount at each location, otherwise you won't know what the discount is until they give you your settlement, or a summary of your fuel purchases. Hope this helps

Truckers Advantage Fuel Card - OOIDA
OOIDA Fleet card.I've used the WEX card also.
The OOIDA card says you always get the cash price plus discounts and rebates. They can find the best fuel prices in the area you are looking for,on their app.

Chevron has a rewards app,get $1 a gallon off on the next 3 fillups.

in the area im going to be running it will work. Im going to be running in the same areas so I will learn where to stop. Again you've still not answered my question. perhaps you're unsure yourself. The co I am leasing on with offers me a fuel card but I assume I will have to go to Loves or similar and pay 66c a gallon more than down the road where I could use my visa and get 2% cash rewards. will the discount on a fuel card be more than that? what else does a fuel card offer. all ive seen is guys complaining about certain cards, one guy said the pumps $100 and sees if the discount comes off etc etc but ive yet to see an explanation of how it works and what it does.. hence my question

it'll be March or April before I get on the road. Spring and summer will be the slow time for me and by the time Sept comes around I will have worked out how the system works. I will be doing propane

Let me help to make it easier on you, stick with the Gas Buddy app. since you be using the same routes. No fuel card is going to help you on getting a better discount. I’ve done my research on this. I’ve been driving long enough to know. So if you want to waste your time(which you will be), go for it. Let us know how it works out for you.

One thing about the company card is, your fuel purchases come out of your settlement. I would ask what their fuel card fees are.

It'll be fun to see a propane truck pull into a regular gas station with low clearance. Can't imagine what could possibly go wrong.

I don't need to use the app per se. I just need to know that there is a station 1/2 mile down the road that's always cheaper. How much do you save from the inflated prices at the pump of a truck stop with your fuel card on average?
