Yup. I've despised TA for years. There are a handful that are OK, but the vast majority are absolute crap. Gotta love it when you have one cashier trying to run the whole place while three managers are hiding in the corner talking...

From what I have been able to see, it looks like a lot of the new TA expresses are nicer than the bigger, TA locations are… I’m hoping, although I won’t hold my breath that says DP bought them roughly 6 months ago that they start for some money back into the locations and renovating them … Also, their reserved parking and a lot of their locations is absolutely atrocious… Putting nearly 2/3 of your parking lot as reserved parking is really asinine and that is one of the reason why they’re parking lots never fill up because who’s gonna sit there, and consistently pay that crap every single day.

Petro Travel Centers use to be good back in the day before they merged with TA. I remember how clean and new their showers were in 2000 & 2001. I rarely, stop there unless I can't find parking at a nearby 'Love's' or 'Pilot/Flying J' Truck stop. I still havent seen a packed Petro Travel Center yet becauae theyve alway had truck parking of a minimum of 130 spots. One of the best Petro's I went to last year whiles running the North Eastern Connecticut lane was off the i90 in Waterloo, NY. Excellent showers and polite good service & employees there.
Gearjammin' Penguin, Blagoje and navypoppop Thank this. -
Some drivers are the worst advertisement for the industry that need to be corrected. Unchanged clothes that are filthy, unkempt personal hygiene, bellies hanging out from under t-shirts 2 sizes too small, flip flops or saddles in place of work boots and Hagi washing hi crusty feet in the sinks are a no-no.
Let's not forget the lazy driver who will throw his urine jugs and trash out the window rather than walk 50' to the trash can. His wife or mother would not be too proud of him and he wouldn't dare do this at home. We need to address and clean up our image.bzinger, JonJon78, Gearjammin' Penguin and 3 others Thank this. -
