I/\'m driving a blue 2008 KW T2000 what color you want? Some guys have flames painted on them! Have their own name on the truck with a small "leased to Swift" on them.
If you don't know the advantage of why a company wants L/O or O/O you don't know enough about business to be in business.
I think they pay .92 + FSC. Lately they tell his his net fuel cost is $1.49 a gallon. We are always consistently over 7mpg.

Its obvious from the get-go that they dont give you freedom, that's all. Honestly I like the color its the model of the truck I hate more! And the fact that theyre all that color. -

There is no advantage to leasing as far as I can tell. All stacked in the company's favor. That is any lease. They have a balloon note at the end of the contract if they want to buy the truck.
If you have a truck there it has to be 5 years old or newer. If you pay it off, you can keep it there forever. I have seen some oldies rolling down the road. -
Yep! I definately agree with you. If the company pays around .92 per mile, by the time you take out expenses, you're going to make about the same as a company driver. -

RugTrucker, you happen to have a link/info on the lawsuit? Not interested in leasing, just learning....BigT

Only lawsuit I know of right now with l/o are the ones that went thru the Tenn school for their lisc. They had to shut down and get their lisc again. During that time they could not run and the lease payment still continued to be due. Swift did not pay anything to the l/o's nor company drivers during the time they were unable to run. Know a few that were shut down 2 months until they could pass the test. But, if you as a driver can not go down and pass a written test and road test on the first try you don't need to be in a #### truck anyway. Sad to think there are o/o's with Swift that are unable to pass a simple road test.BigT1033 Thanks this. -
The reason i get hung up on it is because these companies have absolutely no incentive to be an l/o, and swift takes it to the extreme by even telling you the color the truck can be. Hell, i'd be pissed if i had to be forced dispatched as an o/o.. -
Dont know about blue- I met a new lease driver down in San Antonio 2 weeks ago, he had I wanna say fuscha(sp) new prostar, picked it out himself. He had been a co driver for bout a yr, decided to lease, had a small decal on both sides said leased to swift. I do know he leased it thru swift also....BigT
