I never carried one with me, but every place I ever loaded had their own setup. Some were made out of pvc, some out of light tubing, some out of galvanized pipe, and the worst was made out of poly pipe. IF you ever haul them, pull the chain through and don't push it through. That's all the knowledge I have for the day.

Cut up the roller handle heated it up and bent a hook out on the end.
Have load bar mount on back of cab slips right in to store.
Found it will help untangle straps and became very useful doing belly wraps without climbing up and down on trailer.
