Actually, never got pulled over unless I was on the cutting edge of getting it done, sharply.
Was come out and caught twice, once in Greenfield, TN and Monticello FL. Both small town LE and strictly on the take. G'field cost $20 roadside, and FL was similar. I always considered it as a cost of doing business. $20 was about 400 miles, so just punch it and go on.4mer trucker, BigR, Sons Hero and 1 other person Thank this. -
I remember about 10-12 years ago. When I was doing food service, I left the house around 1- 2 AM to run a route one day. I was pulled over 2 times within 10 miles of my driveway!. First time was by local before I'd even got to the interstate who just pulled me over because of the time of the morning and day of the week. To see if I'd been drinking which I can appreciate that. He's just doing his job. I laughed and told him. No I wish , im heading to work. He said sorry to bother you have a good day... Second time was by a state trooper, about 5 miles after getting on the interstate. Who pulled me over because one of my 2 license plate lights was out and he used that as an excuse to pull me over to see if I've been drinking again because of the time of morning and day of the week.. Was it an inconvenience? sure.. Do I blame them hell No! They have a job to do just like I do..... Apparently I would have been within my rights to call the FBI on them
4mer trucker Thanks this. -
If it had actually stopped raining, I’m going to Court and explaining to the Judge how I was just cleaning my windshield with washer fluid, after the rain left my windshield all streaked up. I might even indulge a bit deeper and explain how I later changed my wiper blades, as they were wore out. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. If it was still raining, pay the fine, lesson learned. If you really feel like your Civil Rights were abused, most States have a Department of Civil Rights. File a complaint.
