You definitely have me considering Schneider now. Moving between departments is a whole lot easier that moving companies. You really sold me there!
And yes I have been warned already to avoid any dollar accounts. My good buddy told me the s**tshow that is lol

I'm fine dealing with people, I just have a low tolerance for stupidity which tends to get me in trouble sometimes. I tend to not sugarcoat things but the military taught me that lolNightWind, tramm01, PaulMinternational and 3 others Thank this. -

I actually had three different trainers. The first one preferred to do the driving himself, so I didn’t learn anything. The second one was an incoherent shouter who couldn’t teach me anything. The third was a good guy, very patient, helped me tremendously, and I made more progress in a week with him than I did in the previous three weeks with the other guys.
It’s the luck of the draw, but don’t hesitate to ask for a different trainer if you get a bad one. -

Suggestion: many starter carriers will reimburse you for your CDL school expenses.
Thus -- for the carriers that will recruit from your school, find out from each carrier what the reimbursement criteria are:
- how much you get paid off per month
- which expenses are/aren't covered
- how long you must be with each carrier to get expenses fully reimbursed
- what max cap reimbursement is on these expenses (if any)
- what happens/is expected if you leave the carrier early (like b4 the end of the first year)
- will/how they reimburse you for tanker/hazmat/doubles-triples endorsements/TWIC card

You will know if there’s a hygiene issue as soon as you get into the truck. You are there to do a job. If a person knows how to do the job, you should be able to learn from them, not necessarily by what they say but they do…IF you have prepared your mind to learn. -
I talked to a driver who said his trainer was fapping in the bottom bunk and he was laying there in the top bunk with his pepper spray because he thought he was about to be raped. Not to scare you or anything. LOL
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this.
