Come on out to Colorado, room for one more. I say a bus driver too. A HUGE shortage of bus drivers, Florida especially, and if handy, you can practically pick your service job. Trucking companies are cutting their own throats, and driving a "stage coach", you are really appreciated. Current pay for a tour bus driver is around $56K/year, but the fringe benes got to be through the roof! You'll see, trucking companies will eventually run out of applicants with the unreasonable demands, but by then too late. What, in the future, Snowflakes( born 1980-1994) going to drive trucks?:laughing-guffaw:

Having once been on SS disability, I really can't see ANY way you can remain on it AND work in the trucking field. So, I think I can safely say that you need to choose one or the other. Personally, I couldn't live on what SS disability paid, and there really was no way of working part-time AND earning so little that I wouldn't disqualify myself for it, so after I got my health back, I went back to work full-time.

In other words, you want to double-dip with a major part of your income coming from us poor and long suffering tax payers? Is that about right?
I don't know about the rest of the guys and I can't speak for them but your entitled attitude speaks volumes about your struggles. I don't think you want to work and your whole "can't get hired by anyone" is a shuck.

Some times a job just isn't any fun at all. Try hitting them with a phone book. It doesn't leave bruises as bad a stick or an iron pipe.

no sir as my disability does not cover my living expenses. I can only make so much due to conditions and would like to my CDL to good use. I feel like I can be an asset to the right company. When my driving record gets clear, I will start knocking on doors that in the past told me no.

Honestly, I’m just gonna wait and see what the local transit place says. I may have other options come next year. I’m going to give a local trucking company a phone call and see if I can do some admin work in their office.
