I have a Predator 3,500 mounted on the catwalk. It'll run anything in the truck with ease. $900 with the 2 year replacement warranty.

5,500 btu GE portable AC (think R2D2) 1" ratchet strap holds it to the side of the passenger seat and vents out the passenger window. $300 also has Dehumidifier so when I use that I have short hose that i drop out under the passenger door.

Heat is a 1,500 watt portable heater (I run it on low (750 watts) sits on the floor in front of the AC $25

Battery charger is a 2/8/15 Amp, auto changing 2/8 and the 15 Amp is only for boosting. Sits on the floor behind the driver seat. $25 this keeps the batteries charged to run the TV and other things running off the invertor.

I use a 6 plug heavy-duty power strip for anything running off the generator.

My generator is so quite you can stand next to it and have a normal conversation. When set on eco mode it will run for around 12 hours on 2gl of gas (the fuel tank is 2gl.)

move your catwalk as far forward as possible and your hitch back as far as possible (slide it back) trailer nose swing Clarence, Mount the generator to the catwalk with ratchet straps i use 4. 1 on each end truck frame around the handel to frame, 2 catwalk over the top to the catwalk... you could flip the truck and it still can't move. 2 heavy-duty cable locks around the truck frame and locked to the handle (the handles are part of the genurator frame)

Fuel storage I have a outside frame mounted storage box that I keep 4x 2gl gas cans, each can is a full tank so that is 48hr + the generator tank equal 60hrs..

I've been running this set up for 3 1/2 years.
Keep me comfy in the south all summer even when it's 115° in TX - AZ And in the winter up north. I've had level 1,2,3 Inspections and dot have never said anything about my setup.1

Takes about 1hr to install everything (not counting moving the catwalk and hitch.)
After mounting the genurator run the power strip cord thru 1 of the preexisting holes under the sleeper.

Setup to use the AC is just open the passenger window slip the vent hose out (I have a piece hard foam to fill the gap, close the window then crack the drivers window about 1/2 - 3/4 in. for cross ventilation. Takes about 2min.
Heat no setup. Just turn on
Charger setup just open the driver door grab the alligator clips and hook up about 1min because you have to get out anyway to start the generator.

Maintenance is a oil change (20oz) about every 150hrs (about every 2 weeks takings 10 breaks) and requires NO TOOLS...

    All in about $1,500

I know it's a bit long but I hope it helps answer you questions

So the only advantage would be the gas tank. Which can be easily solved.
And the start. Which my pulsar starts with one pull.

Runtime. If I had 2 gallons. Would be 9 hours at 50% load. Yours is 11 hours at 25% load.

Price point. $130 cheaper for the pulsar.

Size. Pulsar is smaller. And lighter.
    50 lbs vs. Your 100ish.
I can stick mine in the truck very easily.

    Wattage. Pulsar has slightly more.

Warranty goes to a local authorized repair shop. If I need to. I have another pulsar I can use. It weighs the same as yours and puts out twice the wattage. Has electric start. And I have a 40 pound propane tank. Or a 3.7 gallons gas. It runs on either.

Gas gauge. There's aftermarket caps with floats.

Wouldnt suprise me tbh. That or they realized that slapping emissions onto the APUs makes them cost a bloody fortune and its an ongoing hedious maintaince cost. I know the one on the truck i used had all of 120 hours on it because it constantly broke down. Talked to the shop guy and he said the repairs cost more then the units did on average in the first 6 months lol.

I don't have to find a shop. They tell me where it's at.

I have no problems hauling my generator. It'll store nicely under the bunk. It sits in my garage with no problems. Along with my motorcycle and other generator.

In today's world where gas fumes are tightly sealed. Except for my pickup. It didn't come with a cap.

Most inverter generators have a small 12v outlet. I put a permanent female plug on the truck and bought a male to male cord. The only 12v stuff running when I’m parked is my fridge so it Dosent really need much. This system runs on 1 gallon or less on a 10 hr break. When I stop, I put the unit on the catwalk. Fill up with gas out of my 2 gallon gas can, plug in the shore power cord and 12v cord. Pull the start coard and enjoy my evening. IMG_7763.jpeg IMG_7764.jpeg IMG_7765.jpeg I run thes every single night I’m out. I change the oil usually when I change the truck oil (if I remember ( usually after 3 oils changes) but is usually once it shuts down in low oil) I replace the generator after about 1 1/2 years and sell the used ones for $100. The units can be found for less than $350 pretty easily. All this stuff gets stored in my tool box on my truck about 2 ft from the cat walk. I think I’ve been running this exact set up for 4 years now? Before this I had several different set up, generator types, storage solutions, air conditioning and heating set ups.
At the end of the day this works every day easy breezy and you couldn’t spend $600 if you tried to replace the whole system.

Sleeping at night without my truck rattling away? Priceless…
