Sunny skies tonight leaving north salt lake , I’m a bit gypsy so I turned down the Rawlins bid for the cycle starting next week . I almost took a Wamsutter which is a 518 mile turn but I don’t like Denver enough that if my meet driver bails , they ask me to go thru so I’ll be on the wild board until summer . Cheers .

I like the Estes model , terminal to terminal . I was over the road for years , I don’t miss the places I read about on here like Walmart and Publix, the unpaid waiting , the fighting for a parking space 2 hours from the drop , sleeping on the street and starting the 14 hour clock at 6 am just to burn it all up on a single delivery and miss a reload . Truck load is very inefficient, too many people fighting for scraps. LTL is really where all the efficiency is at . I’d go regional also , if it were terminal to terminal or the same handful of good customers , easy in and out without much delay . Done at the house Friday evening I sleep better on the road than in my own bed.

Almost done with my 30 minute on the other end , at the Stinker, Sinclair, Wyoming . We call Sinclair ‘Rawlins ‘ , if you’ve never ducked off this exit , make it next time you are thru , the ladies cook the best fresh food 24/7 and the prices are great . Todays soup is broccoli cheddar , 5.99 for a bowl , Friday’s are clam chowder , famous for its 8.99 prime rib sandwich and 1/2 pound cheeseburger cooked to order with fresh fixings , tenders , sometimes the ladies make fresh fettuccine Alfredo even , the best store keepers in Wyoming in my opinion. .

Fresh food in the middle of the night is a rare sight on the roads these days.

What's the point in trolling? Your question had been answered multiple times by current drivers.

@Hawkeye72 quite literally answered this already in post #42. You are shown the base starting pay on the job listing. If you apply, a recruiter will reach out and explain in more detail the pay structure and progression for that specific location. Most LTL companies do not publicly post their full payscale and wage progression information.

Here is an example of a job with a higher starting pay, due to being in a higher cost of living area and difficulty hiring drivers: Road Driver in Northborough, Massachusetts | FedEx Freight

This job has one more step to top out at $0.801, probably after a year. There is no website to show you this part, it's just something you are told when you work there.

If you want to apply, then go for it. If you don't, then don't. I don't think any of us care if you believe we make what we say (and have shown).

You have the mileage mentality. I don't work there but it looks like most LTL companies in that mileage is only a part of the pay.
