Answer this question honestly? Why are you here? Is it to help others? Is it to inflate your ego because of low self esteem issues? Please shed some light on it.dukeofearl Thanks this. -
Likely a STELLAR CELLAR DWELLER ( Moms cellar ) wanabee trucker
dukeofearl Thanks this. -
HP, I quit law enforcement because the bleeding hart liberals won't let cops slap idiots up side the head for being stupid. Because I got tired of dealing with morons to stupid to follow the rules.
TB I'm on here to pass on my knowledge and experience with out having to deal with the drivers in person.
Flatbed, Bite me skateboarder. your one of those old timers crying for the old days because he can't handle the new ways. Times are changing keep up or get out of the way.
Now I noticed that no one could answer my question. But then again I didn't think they could. I'm wasting my time arguing with a trucks wife ( who has never driven) a rookie and a flatbeder. None of which has every driven for Marten. So the question is. Why are you here? -
Well now i have been reading these posts for a few days and kbar i drove for martin only 2 yrs but that is enough to see how things were. I never delivered late or picked up late. And yes there were good miles but not all the time. And yes i took the short runs to get to a better place to get longer runs only to find out i had way to much time to get there and then sit some more. And they always got me home when i wanted to i would stay out min 3 weeks and has long as 6 weeks. The longer time out was due to shorter miles the first few weeks i went out. Now i worked for marten April 2006 to 2008. Then i took a load up to Chicago and slipped and broke my ankle. I will say marten payed all my bills surgery and workman's comp i had to have 3 screws put in. But i also had to jump threw hoops for Mr Randy Marten. Not only did i talk to the workman's comp dept every week i also had to talk to him and i will say i never had intentions of seeing a attorney because i would have came back to marten but after the remarks Mr Marten would make every week it was obvious i he didn't give a crap about me at all. So say what you will but i worked my butt off for that co and was lefrt out in the cold.
dukeofearl Thanks this. -
And as you can see i dont have a problem listing my name unlike some people i see here.

Kabar, I have read the posts in this forum and I fail to see where you are trying to pass on your knowledge and experience. Most of the folks here are just looking for advice and support. I don't see that in your posts. It would be nice if you could use some judgement in your words. The human race is not made up of idiots. There are those that make us wonder though.
Try some encouraging words for these guys. Goes along way to making an empression with others on the forum. Nobody respects someone who is always tooting his own horn.hotpeper and dukeofearl Thank this. -

Really a degree in Law Enforcement? Where did you get such a degree? A cracker jack box? My goodness son, your spelling and grammar are so horrific its pretty hard to believe you got a degree in shoe tying let alone Law Enforcement. Go try and pass of your BS on some other board cause i hate to tell ya it isn't workin here anymore.
dukeofearl and hotpeper Thank this. -
It's a shame to see Marten on this thread. I know it's a crap place to work now, hear many, MANY of their drivers complaining now on the road. It is sad to see one of the most driver freindly companies I knew of turn into a Werner or Knight Transportation. Two years ago Marten had no problems with turnover and the bulk of their drivers were there 2 or more years. Today they are lucky to get six months out of one, even moving to paperless logs.
mushroom1464, dukeofearl and therobot Thank this.
