It's storming at my house tonight also. Well at least were not in Baja California, Mexico.

I chased the rain for 560 miles, never did catch it. Had to stop and clean the bugs off the windshield myself.

Transfering loads today in town...took ten loads. I think I should have worked into this, my body is feeling it. Four of us hauling on it... have to get 120,000 bushels moved.

,glad to hear your getting busy again though. How far are you running across town?
I have 1 more load of corn to take to Owensboro in the morning and i'll be done with this contract,i took a load down today and the dispatcher called to inform me that the distillary where i was picking up my ddg ''backhaul'' were going to shut down after dinner today,so i got to deadhead 176 miles,i told her that it ''might have been a good idea to have told me that tid-bit of info this morning when i talked to her BEFORE I LEFT
,but i guess i shouldn't be complaining about 176 miles after reading some of Hwy's posts
Hope everyone had a Happy Easter -
Going roughly three miles one way. Load the milo in 5 minutes and unloading was pretty fast too. Dang right that's a lot climbing up and down especially in a T-600...wish had freightliner right now, easier to get in and out of.

You know, if I could just find a way to charge people for all the air I'm hauling, I'd be doing alright! Turns out they couldn't find me freight anywhere near Nebraska for 3 weeks, apparently not even from the west.
So, in the most recent 2 weeks, I had to deadhead 376 miles from southern Georgia to north Tennessee, and haul to Massachusetts. Then I had to deadhead 260 miles to Delaware headed for Florida. I reloaded within 5 miles of where I dropped in Florida, and hauled to Alabama. Deadheaded 220 miles to Mississippi to pick up a load going to Flagstaff, AZ. From Flagstaff, I deadheaded 300 miles to Dove Creek, CO to make a mountain pass run across to Lamar. Then just finished deadheading 455 miles back to Nebraska about 30 minutes ago.
Granted, that last one was to get me where I was headed 3 weeks ago, not a load choice, from here I get to bobtail down to mid-OK and pick up the trailer. I'm considering deadheading all the way back to Georgia to get there soon. Besides missing Easter, my sis in law and her daughter are out from San Jose, CA for a week, and I haven't seen them in over 5 years, and the A/C isn't coming on at the house. I really need to get home before I need directions to the place (it's been 3 weeks and counting).
Hopefully, the repairs on the trailer are going to come through, but the virgin tires are a no-go so far, and I can't run caps with all the railyards and rock pits I wind up in. So it looks like I may have to come up with some used virgin trailer tires on top of everything. Any leads on some decent used tires out there? I'm going to run 22LP's if they come through on the wheel swap, hoping for the best there.
Thanks again, and I hope the weather's being kind out there - it's been windy as heck the last few days. On top of it all, it turns out the truck gets the same mileage loaded as in a crosswind - be interesting to see what bobtailing is going to do if this keeps up.dairyman Thanks this. -
Wheathauler I agree Shakers are easier to get out of at least the three I drive. Course that's because none of the doors will shut.

Wheat is looking good. The winds have been bad here last few days... 35-45 mph south winds.
