WSE, cut drivers pay twice in 2009 a total of 3.25-cpm along with reduced layover/breakdown pay to $25-per day. Detention pay used to be paid after the first two hours, now its vertually non exsistent. In light of all these cut backs, this did not stop WSE from purchasing 75 new Utility Refrigerated Trailers, or stop the powers to be from offering a $500 bonus to drivers who bring a referral who stays on for atleast 90-days. However, in light of all the-afore mentioned the topping of the cake was last night as I was preparring my taxes. Yes, as many trucking company's calculate their drivers mileage pay based off Home Movers Guide/Rand McNally, the discrepancy between my actual mileage & paid mileage was almost 7,000 miles short. So my fellow truckers, if you wish to work for free, come drive for WSE.

    jtrnr1951 Thanks this.

Well, some drivers dont mind working for free, they say, how do you expect a trucking company to pay you for everything you do.

I'm not seeing the problem. Ever company that wanted to stay in business cut drivers pay. It sucks but thats trucking. They bought new trails, How do you thing the freight gets from point a to b? you want to have crappy busted up trailers or new one's that you don't have to worry about? You didn't get paid for all the miles you drove:biggrin_2551: So it isn't so. Oh wait, any one who has been driving more then 2 weeks knows this. All of this sound like a company that was trying to get through some tough economic time and problems with the industry. So where did WSE do the drivers wrong?

My company gave me a raise in my first 30 days on the job and I get PAID for EVERY mile i drive straight off the odometer. Unlike other "unmentionables"

Well thats a good thing TT. Very far and few do that because drivers would take advantage of it. I'd be willing to bet you work for a small out fit. Would never work for a 1000+ out fit. I do think it's time they stopped this house movers BS and go to practical thou.

Im certain times have severly changed. Believe it or not dad fed 3 hungry boys and put mom through college driving for this outfit in the 90's. Whats funny is he recommend I look into starting my career with WSE if I do decide to walk away from the Military. Scary...
