Hey guys ive had my CDL for 2 years now but have zero experience driving a truck. applied with swift and they asked me to go do their 3 day orientation. I found out that during this time I would be taking a road test the first day?! What happens if I fail the road test? Can I still get a job with swift or do I have to wait and re apply later? I'll be doing the orientation in oklahoma city. Thanks for the help guys.

It seems rather odd that they are not requiring you to go through a refresher course first.
If you have zero experience driving a truck it is very unlikely that you would pass the road test.Gmdriver360 Thanks this. -

That is prudent. Please keep us updated on your progress.

If Swift doesn't work out, try Knight Transportation. One driver I know was in the same situation as you except he hadn't driven since cdl school 10 years ago.

if you fail the the road test, they might have you go with a trainer

Just got in touch with swift in OKC and they said they do offer a modified training course that's 1 to 2 weeks and if I am doing good in it I can test out of it. So I guess im gonna go with that. Thanks a lot guys I was really worried a out this hahah!
