What if it Snows?

The very basic concept of them is good. Unfortunately those things have a long list of bad points from their very inception.

Most only make 8 ounces (if that) at a time. Volume of coffee is just not sufficient.

I prefer my grounds to sit in the water for a while to get all of the flavors out. The Peeing through the cup does not allow for enough soak time. I've yet to have coffee from one that was thick enough.

The disposable plastic cup the grounds come in are are basically land fill. Greta should go after that product, she would be much more effective at it than going after "big oil".

The cups are not price competitive with real coffee beans in a can/jar/bag.

I have yet to successfully operate one by myself. Machine does not pass my basic design simplicity mantra of: Must be able to operate before I've had my first cup of coffee.

 

Cast iron stuff ?

 

Yes, Lodge Cast Iron. They have an outlet store right near the knife store.
The problem with these stores is stock. Sometimes it’s packed full of products, other times it’s slim pickings.

 

I’m hoping they finally pick me…. Last inspection for my truck was the first quarter of 2020.

Use filtered water.. Coffee will taste better, and the city water here and prob there is full of odd elements.
Run 1/2 cup of vinegar and 1/2 cup of water; mixed together. thru it about every 60 days. Rinse that with 1 cup of water.
