Next time you have wifi access, try going to junefabrics.com and seeing if they have PDA net for your phone. It's $30, but it's a one time fee, and you shouldn't need to hack your phone for it to work.
I use it in place of the $30 a month tethering through Verizon.

The Elusive JJRanch is checking in. I have been checking into trucking companies again and applied to 2 and the third in the morning, so we will see what happens. I hope everyone on the thread is doing well. JJ.

I graduated Conley in December. I am Midwest Fleet. Since January I have only had one good week. I get to every stop ASAP which is usually a day or two early yet my next load is always a day or two after unload at my 99. I communicate with DM ALL the time yet they never seem to respond (unless it is night shift sitting in)! I am always positive in my communication with them yet I can't seem to get loads to stay rolling! #### I picked up a load in TN Thursday morning 800 miles to 99 in MA that did not get unloaded til last night! I sat at a truckstop in CT from Friday til Monday! This SUCKS! Headin to IN now then back to Conley (a day late for home time as usual!) Hmmmm? Was Central a good idea? I am pondering this question often now!
JustSonny Thanks this. -
I've only had one bad week, but that was because I pulled in Wednesday night and took 4 days off. Had a local run Monday morning and then a 2300 mile run to PA. So I only had the local run and I started my rider policy that week, so it was a negative week.
The last 2 weeks have been exceptionally good. And the next will be good as well.
At the walmart dc in Auburn IN, finally getting rid of this load. Had to run 1/4 tank or less for the entire trip to keep under 80K. But I got a ton of shower credits now. -
Wishing you good luck JJ. Who did you apply with? Get all the stuff on Your Dac fixed?

how come i feel like im getting sent to places that people dont want to go? Today was a border town near canada in NY. NOTHING is up there... no rest areas, truckstops have ample parking but just the inconvience store.
after my 01 I went to scale at the peterbuilt TS in Champlain NY. I think the guy at the fuel desk was messing with me... but i got my revenge... I drive on the scale and go through the dialog with him and pull up off the scale so another driver can use it. I go in and he tells me that I am blocking the scale and can I move my truck.
I tell him that I am just getting my scale ticket by the time i get the ticket and another driver is on the scale, ill be gone. But he still makes me move. I go inside to get my ticket and he says that there is an extra $1 charge for using a credit card. Ok thats fine, im not using a credit card... he looks at it and says "oh its a comdata card" he processes the payment and says that comdata wont accept the code for the extra dollar. WTF!!!!
I feigned like i left my wallet in the truck and dug out $1 in pennies and brought it in...
"he asks me if i have a dollar bill. I said no all I have is a $100 bill then he starts counting the pennies. I wasnt in a hurry, my load is 920 miles delivers 4/9 and its a drop so I can be there anytime. I started talking to the guy asking all kinds of questions just so he loses track of the pennies. Meanwhile the line behind me was gathering!
I think the guy at my 01 might have been new at loading trucks... i got my scale ticket and it came out to 11920, about 28000 and 35000. How the hell did he load this?!?!? So now my tandems are back at the illinois limit at 42.5 ft.Bootlegger66 Thanks this. -

My DM was Rita, but I guess they got rid of her last week, it is now Stewart. His communication is worse than hers! I think he is just doing her drivers until Conley hires another DM. I saw they are advertising for that position in the help wanted ads. Since January I have only had two weeks above 2k miles! The rest are all right around 1200 to 1500 with a couple below a thousand! I stay out for at least 4 weeks at a time but it doesn't seem to be doing any good. I might go talk with Cole when I get back to Conley. Might just wait and see what happens this next 4 weeks.
