    Just weld lowboy ramps on your truck, then you can just crash into any low trailer and it will ride right up onto your 5th wheel. You’re welcome.

    I’ll raise a trailer if it’s too low, but only because I have an aversion to it wiping all my grease off.

    I am assuming that the grease you are writing about is the grease on your fifth wheel. I have ten years of experience driving a semi-truck. I have never greased my fifth wheel myself, and I have never suffered the slightest inconvenience from not greasing the fifth wheel. When my company performs basic periodic maintenance on my truck once every six months, my company will grease my fifth wheel, and I don't notice the grease helping anything. Why do you bother spending the time and money (to buy the grease) to grease your fifth wheel? How does it help you or the truck to grease the fifth wheel?

    I don’t buy it. I get it from the shop. We drop our trailers every day, so when I fuel up I’ll take a bondo spreader, scrape the grease off the edge and out of the grooves, and spread it on the lower half of the bearing surface. I repeat that until it loses its tack, and then replace it with new grease from the shop.

    A dry fifth wheel makes your truck handle like #### IMHO.
