before anyone asks him;
Original Social Security Card
To apply for an original card, you must provide at least two documents to prove age, identity, and U.S. citizenship or current lawful, work-authorized immigration status. If you are not a U.S. citizen and do not have DHS work authorization, you must prove that you have a valid non-work reason for requesting a card. See page 2 for an explanation of acceptable documents.ARCEE Thanks this. -
Thanks for your answer, but it's not enough. What documents should we have with us?
I have a work permit in America -
go online for your state DMV site.
should have all the information on there.tscottme Thanks this. -
What state do you live in?

You can get a CDL in any state, you already have a drivers license, so go to school, get training to drive a truck, pass the DMV road test and you are good to go.

A woman told me: Your driver's license is new, you have to wait 1 year.

A regular drivers license does not guarantee that an individual qualifies for a CDL. You have to be a US citizen or legal to work here, like a Green Card.

Currently, CDLs are available only for U.S. citizens, nationals, and permanent residents (those with a green card)Last edited: May 30, 2024
