The odds are against you. But good luck. Roehl has changed greatly and the times are now that drivers are fired for things when before they were given a second chance.

Do not be so negative, Roehl does offer second chance to many, one of my trainers took trailer doors off backing to a dock, many drivers had minor accidents including myself. It is more about your attitude with management and if you are prepared to eat the humble pie and admit your fault. Unless there is a citation involved in most cases you get away with written warning. :biggrin_25513:

You bet as they say in Marshfield !
If are starting in trucking, have no doubt and start with Roehl.
If you in doubt go to college and get a normal job. :biggrin_25523:

I'm 38 years old and already been to college. I work a stinking job that requires my BA and still make under 21000 a year! I drove years ago (class B) Spent a short 2 months running as a team with a pig of an O/O driving expedited freight for Roberts Trucking. So, I've been around and know enough that I understand how things work.

Judas, I have personally experienced Roehl. I wonder why every time someone posts a negative view it's always they didn't have the right attitude. You don't know what kind of driver I am or how I conduct myself. I always bent over backwards to do them favors. I've always been honest with them and accepted responsibility for my actions. You keep your rose colored glasses on. Hope your luck holds.

I am not judging you or your driving by any means, nor do I suggest there was a problem with your attitude. And I am very well aware of imperfections in Roehl, and be there a better job I would walk out the door today.

I am just saying that for me it is working well so far, though there are tough days mainly cause someone in office "forgot" or some other force major.

Roehl is not the worse that can happen to you, but ..... not the best!
Keep looking and may the freight be with you. :biggrin_25514:

That is not true Itold the company about a minor icident and got fired for my honesty and I never had a problem with attitude with anybody at Roehl in the 2 and ahalf years I was with them and they did not care that I had 800,000 plus safe miles.

You can gross a lot more. My first year with Roehl I drove over 140,000 miles at .38 cpm you do the math plus I was on Curtain fleet so I got a lot of extra stop off pay. Just keep the wheels a turnin. Good luck.
