I am looking into investing into an Owner Operator Truck. I am about to complete my CDL training. Is there any owner operator looking to get out of the business. I am looking for a active MC, so I don't start new. I am also mulling over a newer rig, or looking to buy a new one. Experience and all advice appreciated.

How much do you know about the business operation of trucking ?

and how much do you have saved in your rainy day fund ?

It seems that he wants a "just add water, you get an instant trucking company".

I will ask again - how much money?

What I mean is how much does he have to spend?

Only a fool would become an O/O without at least 5 years experience. But then again, this business is filled with fools....

Thanks for your reply, I do understand where you are coming from.

I have been working in a bank, as a risk manager, and I do mind my p's and q's. I am planning to go into this bussiness with another experienced driver. I am looking to buy an established MC to save couple of months of aggrivation. I understand how though this business, especially with the downturn, falling rates, and increasing diesel prices, and shortage of cargo, etc. It is definitely a tough and grinding lifestyle.

What I was saying is that I am sure some of the owner's operators are/must be looking to get out of this business. I was hoping to make an easier transition to both. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful or anything.
