Yea, no #### sherlock, that's what we're talking about. I've even specified more than once, that I am ONLY talking about with regards to the OP's situation. That's what I replied to in the thread, that's what I KEEP trying to return to. But everyone is taking this thing down all these roads that nobody ever talked about, 1099, JIT inventory shipments, the military, etc.

IMG_2753.jpeg Penalties and fines are synonymous in this case.

Then I don’t know why you’re arguing with me. I’ve stated at least twice what I am arguing about. But you keep coming back looking like a #######. And the more you post the more you contradict yourself. You say it doesn’t matter what’s in the handbook then you post links saying it has to be foreknowledge. You are all over the place. I think you are so angry that you are confusing yourself.

    just breathe… inhale… exhale…

And just to stir the pot Haji the dispatcher was giving him foreknowledge. If you are late you will be fined.

But again they can’t force him to break the law.

But I guess he should have said there will be monetary penalties

Anywho. I hope you have a good rest of your day. Stay safe

WOW, just going in circles, and no one read a thing I posted.

Back to the original post - #1, the dispatcher needs to be fired.

You can't fine a customer, that term is bull.

You can charge a customer an additional amount if that's a direct customer, if you are using a broker, you charge the broker who has to charge the customer.

Worst thing in this business is to not have any options. If you’re a two time drug test failure or similar, nobody is doing you any favors advising you to stay in this industry.

You should not put up with crap like that for one second. I would talk to a higher up and if it didn’t immediately stop I would be cleaning out my truck. I would stay on duty for an hour or so after every shift “doing paperwork and trip planning “ and block dispatches phone during off duty until I handed them the keys.

Are you a member OOIDA. They have great attorneys who specialize in the trucking industry and they can help you. I'm a little pickup truck driver and I have no problem with their annual dues. One Voice For Truckers Everywhere | Join the OOIDA Family $45/yr and worth it. Good Luck.

Put your cellphone on "record" before you go into the meeting with the brass. Try this at home to get the bugs out of the settings. You only have one shot at this recording and the fruit it will legally yield.

Dispatcher is a 12yr old playground Bully wrapped in Mans body. Reach out to OOIDA's trucking lawyers and then Complain to the DOT and the FMCSA. You aren't the only one he is harassing! Make sure you keep a contact/incident log in a journal($1.25/Dollartree) Date/Time/Players Names/What happened! DO NOT TRY AND REMEMBER ANYTHING! You miss important details. Good Luck.
