Your truck is probably right where I’m at with tire wear. Mine have 236k on them, have worn perfectly with no patches at all. Tread is deep and probably get another year or so before they need replacing.

Been mulling it over about just getting new drives now since I just got new steers. My thinking is that I could probably get decent money from the used ones and apply that to the new ones. That way I’m not dishing out a ton of money all at once and I’ll have fresh tires for the upcoming snow season.

Fact is if I damage a drive tire at this point I’m going to be replacing two instead of one.

I need to rotate my drives before to much longer. Than that will be the last I touch until I change them out.

You would need 8 super single rims if you are converting the tractor and trailer. Depending where they get them from, they may give you something for your old rims. Then you need super single tires, which start around $1000 apiece. Lastly if you blow a tire on the highway, there is no limping it anywhere you need to stop, and will most likely need a new rim as well.

2300 including the rim? How much does the tire itself cost?

They're about $1000 for virgins. About $600 for recaps. Give or take.

I did a virgin and cap on the trailer last month.
