Sounds like forcing older trucks out of work.

Really it just sounds like they can be picky and choosy because there's probably a 100 or more trucks available for every load out here. I don't understand why anyone would be upset over it. They're the kings of cheap freight and have some of the most screwed up demands and procedures in their contracts of any broker out there.

My friend and my truck are both CARB Compliant and we were doing local reefer loads in Commiefornia, so that wasn’t the case.

I doubt it. More likely trying to deal with bad actors/fraud. They don't want to share the criteria because then the fraudsters can figure out a way to go undetected. It's just like with the video games - do a mass ban of everyone suspected of cheating at once instead of piece meal. A bunch of innocents get caught up in the purge, but they're fine with that. The debate over "is it better 1,000 guilty go free than one innocent be punished or 1,000 innocents be punished than one guilty man goes free" has been going on for centuries.

May be they are getting rid of O/O and are going to focus on just brokerage.

They didn't cut their l/o running under JB Hunts authority, they cut contract carriers - 3rd parties with their own authority. Judging by my companies 3rd party carriers, it's low overdue to deal with their shenanigans.

I’m curious also. Still active with them (for 2 years) but haven’t booked any loads.

Wonder if it’s due to a bad fmcsa score or just a certain type of violation. Age of equipment could be a factor..maybe.

    Siinman Thanks this.

Or maybe they are cutting off mostly Cali carriers due to all the state new regulations and also due to all the scammers?

Could be because Brokers are now required to check check carriers compliance with the new emissions bs.

I paid the $30 and signed into it but they aren’t getting any emissions test from me. Mine will be due in November and then I’m done with CA.

My truck is a 2023 so if that isn’t good enough for them they can KMA!

It sucks for outside carriers, but at least the volume of freight has picked up for the employees. I'm definitely not complaining.
    Bout time!
