Yes i went to 1 trucking school who was partnered with PAM Transport for the students after class. We take a drug screen on week 1 and i failed that and was kicked out of that school, did all my SAP stuff up to step 5...i went to TDI and they helped me get past step 5 and now im on step 6 as a recent grad from the school at of this past week. So is not making sense?

I went to TDI in Tennessee and that started me on a real good trucking career.

I believe I read a article recently where the fmcsa is requiring states to downgrade a class a license to a general license if someone fails the clearinghouse house drug test . Only after a SAP is passed can you start the procedure to upgrade it to a class A again . I’m not sure if that requires retesting or not in some states .

This is NOT directed at YOU personally, and just a comment for others BEFORE going any further in the CDL process! The first step after failing the drug test and getting tossed out of that school was to get through the complete SAP process THEN seek a company/carrier that is willing to hire you! THEN seek further training! In my never to be so humble opinion the second school put the screws to you to just to take your money! Trucking Schools put people in classrooms... Trucking companies put people to work. The fact is that a corpse can obtain a CDL.. The requirements are just there to obtain a license. After that the standards change completely! The carriers have to be able to ensure that they will not end up going bankrupt after the lawsuit after ANY accident (even non-preventables). This isn't about how well a person can drive, it matters who is going to be an instant legal liability. Best of Luck!

You want my Gods honest truth. With your experience and the violation , you’re looking at 5 years from now till you’re employable. 30 years experience for me, clean record and the best offer I’ve had is “ come back in 3 years after violation

Facebook and Craigslist have trucker pages and you can find a 1099 job on those that hire SAP drivers.

I wouldn't suggest 1099 jobs to my worst enemy... this is counter productive and feeds the scumbags who operate 1099 scams
