Enjoy whatever you are interested in. Sleep late, wash clothes, get groceries, find good pizza, listen to podcasts, watch Netflix, read.

By evening, I ventured out for nourishment, and returned to my humble motel room afterwards to enjoy the pool.
One fine day, my tractor a/c crapped out, and I needed to find lodging since ambient heat was an issue. I was nearly out of drive time and needed to stop for the night quickly.
My only option was a $200 per night hotel that was close by.
I enjoyed the pool, the breakfast buffet, slept on a memory foam mattress for the first time, and did some laundry. All on the company's dime. Western Express didn't like coughing up that $200, but they did finally reimburse me.
What's the difference between a hotel and a motel?

When possible I would do this over 2 days. I would park my rig in a safe location and go check in at a hotel. Many times I would watch football and enjoy a beer. Once back around 2003/2004 I was near Tucson AZ, parked my rig rented a car drove down to Tombstone enjoyed some quiet time, and got caught up on my sleep. My daughter wants to visit Tombstone. Good chance at some time the 4 of us can go. It would be nice to get out of Virginia and out there for a few days.
