Is this a good job?

I kind of wish I took this job now

I am having a hard time finding something now. Pride turned me down because I have 2 DUI’s from over 17+ years ago. Swift turned me down because I don’t have 10 straight years of work history. I won’t take a job that has driver facing cameras so that rules out about 80% of companies out there. All the other jobs require 1-2 years of experience. That pretty much just leaves bad companies left that I won’t go work for just to gain experience. I am already employed so I am not desperate. Don’t think I am going to find something now. Kind of getting exhausted from applying. It’s sad, I like driving but finding a good job in the beginning is like finding a needle in a haystack.

 

Nobody ever said anything about “making demands,” and that’s being a bit dramatic. I am choosing to not take jobs with driver facing cameras, not “demanding.” Demanding would be if someone offered me a job with a camera and I “demanded” it be removed.

Also, since I am already employed and have the power of choice, I absolutely am in the position to do what I want. If I don’t find a job that doesn’t have a driver facing camera, then I just don’t get in this industry. I don’t need to be desperate enough to take a job I really don’t want. Folks shouldn’t be accepting driver facing cameras, and if enough people stood up and said, “no” to them, then they wouldn’t be making its way into the industry, which only opens the door for even more invasive technology down the road. Sorry if you are desperate and need to put yourself in that situation, but I am not.
