Go to owner ops and tell them you are thinking about leasing..... Or if you ARE leasing tell them that you have no $ because you spent it all on fuel. Some L/O i was talking to did that and they gave him 2 tickets.

I don't get on here very often, barley have time to read and catch up. Love reading the information. I run pretty hard with Central, and during the ten hours I sleep and eat, and I do not always get a wifi connection. Mostly have no internet. Heading to Idaho, Oregon, and Washington, have four drops. Picking up my lady on the way. She is ready to ride again. I saw a Central driver being arrested in Idaho, he was handcuffed to the truck!!! Anyone else see this??? I can not believe one of our drivers has been arrested!

my dog rode with me from june 09 till i got caned i had her in wvc henderson and conley and at all 3 places the mechanics and some office people played with her. all i did is act as if i had been with the co for years and was grand fathered in. hell theres to many drivers for them to know whos been there how long. just play it cool and you should have no problem. one thing i did do was always drop the dog at the house before going into conley if i knew i was getting serv or doing safety classses. so no one would see her in the truck all alone and start asking questions.

dude im trying to hold off as long as i can i actually got a spot in jb hunts orientation on tues in atlanta but i just cant do hunt for some reason just dont trust what the recruter was saying and we all know they lie lie lie. also got a guy in savannah ga needing a guy to run his truck back and froth from savannah to atlanta hauling containers out of the port but this guy knows nothing about trucking . he inherated two trucks from a uncle and wants to run them he seems to be genuine in what he wants to do but never being a trucker himself throws up a giant red flag for me. would be a great everyday run home everynight but i think ill have to pass on that one too. well hopefully something will come thru soon. if not ill just keep hanging fenders and sanding bondo.and chrome is right once you get the road in your blood its a hard thing to get it out.

Well today turned out to be a little stressful, it started out normal enough. I got up and showered and looked over my paperwork for Cargo Express and made sure i had everything i needed for orientation. I left with plenty enough time to get there and along the way i dropped in to walgreens for a bottle of asprin and little did i know i was really going to need them before the day was over.
i made another stop at a chevron station a block from cargo's yard to use the bathroom and to get a can of copenhagen and thats when my day started to go down hill. I went to start my gmc and it wouldn't start. i had to push it into a parking space hoping it wouldn't get towed while i was gone and hot footed it to the yard a block away so i wouldn't be late in the pouring rain by the time i got in the class room i was soaked to the bone. Next up videos and a test how fun. i did the majority of the paperwork on friday along with the drug screen so i didn't have a lot to do. after getting through 2 videos i was told to down to st lukes for my physical and me with a broke down truck. Bob the guy running the show said not a problem take the yukon and get the physical done. ok one problem solved but my gmc is still a major concern. I head off to st lukes and make a quick stop by my gmc to get the gps and guess what problem solved the gmc started so i talked to the cashers in the chevron and it wont be towed and i can leave it there until i get finished at cargo, ok cool off to get my physical. i get there and guess what my blood pressure was up, just great another problem so i finish with the physical and the doc has me lay in the exam room in the dark for 10 min with breathing exercises to try and lower my blood pressure and guess what it worked i passed and got a 2 yr med card. back to the terminal i go. i watch a couple of more videos and was informed that i have my road test at 8:30 am and if i pass i will be assigned a truck and they are already working on a load wow talk about putting ya to work at warp speed i about got whiplash from the coment. well my day is finally over and bob gets a Mech to drive me back to my GMC and guess what? it starts good deal or so i think anyways i am headed home and about half way there i decided to pull into the albertson's gas station and the truck quits on me again. so again i have to push the truck away from the pumps and start making phone calls to try and get me and the truck home . an hour and a half later just when i was about to yank the battery out and head for the house with a friend guess what i try and startit for the last time and it starts. I make it to the house but it quit on me before i could get it in the drive way. i speculate it might be the fuel filter so i pull the battery and put it in the mustang, take out the filter and off to autozone i go. 30min and 10 dollars later the filter is in and guess what she starts. give her a test run and it seems to have fixed the problem. well i am off to get creamer for jess so i will let you know if the gmc is cured i hope so because i still have alot to do and an early morning ahead of me JJRanch. -
Well i made it back so far so good the real test will be in the morning when i go into boise in the am. be safe and i hope to see ya all on the big road soon. JJranch.

Typical... 2 trailers at the Henderson Detention Facility not red tagged or loaded ast night. So I Look one over last night in the dark and back under it. Get up this morning, start a pretrip and the guy doing the yard check comes by and says he needs to replace a tire on the trailer I'm under. Of course the other is gone. So much for a good start to the day.

technical glitch. got a double posting.

i would suspect the fuel pump. sometimes they flat out quit. but most times they will run untill it heats up AND then quits. cool it down and it works again. time for a replacement. i always replaced the filter along with the pump.
fortunately, you have a gm product. BIG PLUS for you. there's a valve on the fuel rail in the engine compartment. it looks like the valves a/c's used to have when R12 was common. it's used for checking fuel pressure. next time the yukon dies. take the cap off. you can take your keys and press in the valve. chances are no gas squirts out. or very little at that. means the pump quit. that rail should have 40-50 lbs pressure. i forget the exact specs. but if the pump is working and the rail is pressurized. gas should squirt like a geyser.
WARNING. for those that attempt this. DO NOT LOOK INTO THE VALVE. HAVE YOUR HEAD OFF TO THE SIDE. OR GAS WILL SQUIRT RIGHT INTO THE EYEBALLS. and that is not a pretty feeling.
if you lay underneath the tank. and have jess just cycle the ignition key on and off. you should hear a slight buzz from the pump.
you might also have some type of access to a electrical connector that you can take apart and check for power with the key cycling off and on. the connector should be close to the tank. the wiring will run right into the tank for the fuel pump and gas gauge on the dash. you should have power for a second when the key is turned on. then the power will go off. it's a safety shut off. only works for a second unless the engine is running. then it's works constant. keeps the pump from running when the engine isn't.
if you don't have power. then check the fuel pump relay. that's the next common problem.
autozone.com has very helpful information in finding specs and electrical component location. you create a user account. add your vehicle. and you'll have ALL the information you need. FOR FREE. instead of having to buy a chilton repair book.
i use it a lot when looking at a car to buy. LOL. call me picky but i prefer an engine with a timing chain over a timing belt ANY day. chains last. belts don't.
i mechaniced for 12 years before switching to trucker.
