    Can you tear it apart?
    Store it?
    Piece it out?
Put it in a new truck?

You'll lose money if your gonna try to sell parts and can't take em off yourself.

Not worth the trouble IMO, and condition is questionable at this point

If I’m reading you correctly you can keep it for basically 1300? If so there is potential for some profit. If you have a place to store it. I would leave everything in the truck and take what’s needed as you sale. Unless you have warehouse space to strip it all at once. I would just do a cut off of the rears. And yank the cab. Leave the engine and trans still in the front half of the frame. Crush the cab. Of course to do that you will need a loader or a large forklift.

Just a wag but I would say 8500-10 in engine value

    3500 for the trans

    4500 for the cutoff

so I would figure you can get 16,5 for the parts. Maybe a tad higher. What you’ll pay someone to strip it I can’t say.

How long did it run on its side?

If it ran more than a few seconds I'd at least want the pan and valve covers pulled and a couple main/rod caps taken off if I were looking to buy.

Just an opinion from a completely independent perspective that transmission is gonna be a hard sell. Every body believes they have twice the truck they really do. They refer to it as the small 13 speed, in reality it will work fine however they are convinced they need the 1850 torque when in truth I have seen the 1650 torque come factory behind many 475 3406E models. Most likely behind 550’s too but I can’t actually say for certain. I have several laying around here and that’s the spill I get. I will just save them for seeds before I give one away.

Storing it is the challenge. Working with my shop to see if they can work with me on that front. I don't think they will have room on their yard to keep the entire truck for any length of time unfortunately, but am looking into if they can store engine/trans/other components.

I do this stuff as a hobby. I Have made upwards of 30k selling parts from one wrecked truck. The buy back price is good. Every working part on that truck is worth something. 95% of truckers out there will gladly pay for something used that will keep them going instead of crazy new prices. Even lug nuts. I horse trade with parts too. Naysayers be ######. Engine alone is worth gold. Many got lost forever and holed in that obama cash for clunkers debacle. As the years go by and they get more scarce they become more sought out by the old truck collector crowd. I have had guys call me and just want a panel or small piece of a trashed cab for a repair. A door frame or hinge or skin. All worth something. Even them $50 from Pete toggle switches will get you some free cash used. Dash probably has a $1000 worth of still working gauges in it.
