Here ya go for the battery problem. You just twist the knob on this and battery is disconnected. It's what I used and I've had terminals that I left my truck in 140-200 miles away from home. Of course on those jobs I made sure that I could take the truck home for home time off.

1. Wrong terminal connection.
2. Even with that small profile, there is not enough clearance between the battery terminal and hood.
Yes, it really is that close.
In fact, it is a remote terminal because the battery is mounted well below that point. To replace the battery you have to remove the inner fender well.The one california kid Thanks this. -
