I was commenting about the doghouse because he was pointing at his profile picture with a cabover and bare minimum sleeper.
Who cares about the sleeper? What options do you like?

Didn't spend a lot of time in that sleeper, I was in the seat making money. And the doghouse was in front of the sleeper, you flopped over it to get a short nap.

As long as the sleeper has a bed and a microwave/fridge I really don’t care. A couch? For what. I work and I sleep. Who has time to just chill on a couch lol. If I have any spare time it’s spent sleeping.
buddyd157 and Arctic_fox Thank this. -
Long as it keeps me dry, somewhere between 40 and 73 degrees, and has something at least slightly softer than your average piece of plywood that's all that matters. The less crap to rattle and bang and drive me insane the better.
little cat 500 and Last Call Thank this. -
Is it possible to get a sleeper with no cabinets? I'm looking at the Western Star 49x and I'm liking the 60-in sleeper but all I want is the back wall shelf. I don't want any cabinets on either side. Is that possible or would I have to get it as it comes and just take the cabinets out after I get it but I prefer the factory to do it because I want the control panel on the wall like it comes on the 48-in sleeper. Is it possible?

Sleepers just add weight.

I think this sleeper debate hinges more on the type of operation you're in. For example, a driver that has a busy season like a harvest or pipeline project I would imagine would run hard and only sleep in the sleeper. Compared to a driver that runs the road following the best money might want an area in the bunk to do billing and booking loads instead of hunched over a laptop on the bed with a printer and #### scattered all over the place.
Me personally like a small desk area for paperwork. I have a Truckfridge fridge/freezer that's made for my sleeper. Microwave for my breakfast burritos. Little oven for heating up home cooked meals. Cabinets to keep everything in its place easy to retrieve and put away. An RV sink for brushing my teeth and whatever that hides under the desktop that folds down over it. I travel with my dog so I got rid of all the carpeting and installed vinyl flooring. All of this with a still stock appearing bunk with actually more room to move around. Sleeper is a Unibilt 63" stand up. -

At my last company I drove two different late model KW T680s and both had the passenger seat that swivels and I always rotated to the rear facing position. There is a nice little table top that can be used in this setup that I used every day while I was in the truck. I have seen a similar setup in some Volvos and would love to have it on my next Volvo if available.
