Getting your own trailer is probably only going to help you out. It may be easier to get direct customers when you have the trailer to pull their product. Be careful with the Reefer if it stops running, they may put a claim on that load. Taddletales in the trailer with Wi-Fi capacity….Let the customer know what temperature it is inside that thing whenever someone with an open Wi-Fi drives by you. Or when you drive by business that has open WiFi. Yes, you could throw it on insurance, if the insurance covers it, but they will get the money back from you by raising your premium. It will be costly and not many. Will want to touch somebody with only one unit that just had a Reefer claim.

As for me ONLY posting about "broker issues", well that's just false. I've posted a handful of incidents. EVERYONE here has had a broker issue, including YOU. I just choose to post about them to help others out, and to maybe get a good solution on how to go about dealing with this BS. EVERY single broker issue I've had in my career is because THEY screwed up in one way or another, or they tried to pull a dirty move. Do you know how I know that? Because I'm never late and always do my due diligence and fulfill the terms of my contract. And I frequently do extra work without charging them, such as helping unload all of the furniture during a 6-drop load. IF I have to drive over 600 miles a day for 3 days to get to an appointment on time (like I did that last week) then I do it.Last edited: Sep 1, 2024

Let me ask you a hypothetical. I assume you have kids. If you don't, then let's pretend you do. Your 18-year-old son borrows the car and goes to Applebees to take advantage of their 1/2 price appetizers after 9pm. On the way back home, a drunk driver slams into him and totals your car. You get rightfully pissed off. Are you going to say to your son, "You shouldn't have been out to begin with!" If you are that type of father, then I completely understand your posts. But you see, the accident wasn't your son's fault; it was the drunk's fault.Rideandrepair, Siinman and Numb Thank this. -

This same topic was discussed a few weeks back, the usage trailers by ‘power only’ operators. The general consensus was other than the agreed to ‘trailer move’ by the O/O, usage of somebody else’s trailer to go ‘shag loads on the side’ is considered a no-no, unless consent is explicitly given in a written contract.gekko1323 Thanks this.
