Just walk out to the meter , if digital look at bottom right of screen . If analogue look at triangle at center , if moving , no water being used , its a leak.

Only thing good you can say about it is at least it ain’t the sewer line— we had one of those a couple years ago and I was ready to burn the place down and start over
