Recent CDL graduate

i submitted an app through OD & USFOODS websites and i use the driver pulse app (which is terrible cause it’ll auto refresh on its own in the middle of me doing an application ) so it makes it a pain to submit applications through there. Hoping they have an update soon

 

So today I was rejected by XPO. I called them before applying letting them know that I was a recent grad with 0 experience and they encouraged me to apply to a specific location that was taking drivers without experience. I applied and woke up to this message. It really confuses me because i’m not sure what criteria I didn’t meet but when I was on the phone with them, they made it seem like I had fit the criteria for what they were looking for at the least. Have any of you been through this?

 

yeah that’s definitely a possibility. i do think you’re right. Unrevised and fixed my resume multiple times thinking it could be that but im at a point where im just not sure. is the industry for new truckers that bad or is it just me? feeling very challenged.

yeah i’m starting to regret paying so much money for this CDL. I get insurance costs but it’s crappy how new drivers have little to no option to work. most companies are walking away from recent grads and moving towards 3-6months experience at the very least. I even tried Pepsi, Cola, DR Pepper, Sysco, US foods, Old Dominion,Leonard express, and now XPO which rejected me.
