    If he was content with $1000 then it doesn’t matter what the shipper paid.

    For instance, out of Oregon to California $1000 is better than deadhead and the fact of the matter is there is no other option. The fact of the matter is, there's more money than that. Question is how is he to get it?

    I doubt he is. It is 1 dol a mile. He is resigned to 1000 but not content. Maybe the knowing of the fact that TQL gets 70%, will make him muster some ambitions, like to figure out a way to bypass TQL and get paid directly?

    Clearly he is. He moved it for that. If he wasn’t content he wouldn’t have hauled it. It’s the same tired argument. Who forced him to do business with TQL? Why doesn’t he have his own customers?

    Well, I just wanted to say that whenever they say that's all they got in it, it is probably not true or at least that should be none of your concern.

    I don't have access to ooida members page but was told by a driver this morning that Flatbed company F&S Farley Schilling is done and all trucks are being routed to the yard.. Supposedly its on ooidas site....


    Anyone able to confirm?

    And when your mother told you to eat your not too favorite soup, why did you it?
    The point is, he's better off knowing what he knows now. Maybe he'll better himself on it. The anger could be a good motivator too.
    Isn't it odd that a broker gets 3 times as much on load, while he loses money on that lane? Don't tell me that these proportions are healthy.

    They’re not healthy but it’s not because of TQL. How would it help him to know what the shipper pays? That does absolutely nothing regarding the out of whack load to truck ratio thanks to everyone buying trucks during Covid. It could’ve been printed at the top what TQL was getting paid and the load still would’ve moved for $1000.

    I advised him to read his agreement with TQL and if it is legally OK, go and talk to the shipper or another shipper. Maybe they all pay over 3Gs. The evident difference in pay justifies the try.
