We are choking here with smoke from the Line Fire they have in San Bernardino mountains.

 

That’s wimmin’s work I stay out of it, but rumor has it that they’re be Diane taters (a Polock recipe from the turn of the century on the other half’s side), broccoli/bacon salad, fruit salad, green salad and the daughter’s famous homemade rolls and two (2) Dairy Queen ice cream cakes

 

Them baskin robbins turtle ice cream cakes used to be the shizzznit .

 

Throw that anywhere in MS and I will get a ride there just fo the sides....
Sound like one of the Memorial Day, men clean the cemetery, ladies spiff up the plant life around the tombstones, everyone eat,
at Pine Bluff Church near Pheba/Dancy, MS.

Strange.. They nailed 2 x 4's on each side of a string of trees close on the church property at waist height. Sized piece of plywood across between each tree. About 50' of table; stroll , select, load, come back to the "Sweet Tea" area and elbow in to a vacant spot to stand and devour... 10/12 yrs old and everyone there was proud of my dads boy....Patted my head and bragged.
Great times. Daddy's twin brother buried there.

 

Mom was stressing that I wouldn’t have enough help— are you kidding I asked— there’s gonna be at least 20 old timers there and every one of them have forgot more about cook’n than I’ll ever know— I just hope I don’t poison nobody— give her something else to worry about

 

Shoot, I volunteer to finger paint her anytime!

 

They have good reason to be worried about it's future. Because most normal people, me included, would stomp that sucker dead with my size 13 boots if I see one.

 

After a full morning of chores involving preparation for the “Trip” I sat down and cracked a cold one and I heard a sound, a low rumble’y gentle sound that I couldn’t quite place and then it occurred to me that it was the rhinoceros and that I better go check on him
