It's gettin real for the good folks in Lousanna.....
Hurricane Francine tracker: Live updates as Category 2 storm makes landfall in Louisiana (yahoo.com)

I really feel sorry for those folks. You see, this is not a 1 day event, this turns out to be a 2 year recovery.
I remember when Michael blew though here, (keep in mind I'm 120 miles from the coast), it was just awful and for a very long time.
@ElmerFudpucker can probably tell you, Marianna FL was wrecked, and pretty much everything north of that until you got to Albany was equally wrecked. Power poles in the ditches, no services (Waffle House next to the Pilot would let you use their restroom because Pilot didn't have bathroom that worked), and just #### all over the place.......and it was MONTHS before it was back to some semblance of normal. I think if you go down I-10 west of Marianna, you can still see the twisted wreckage of the STEEL billboards.

No, hurricanes ain't no joke. God bless those people

The longhorn out in Vinton, La was destroyed by Ivan. And it’s still just a twisted pile. And that was what? 5 years ago?

My dad used to eat that, crumble cornbread in a big glass fill it with butter milk add salt and pepper stir it up and eat it with a spoon. I always thought it looked so good, but I couldn't do the butter milk. Or any kind of milk far as that goes. Now cornbread, especially crackling cornbread l can probably eat it till it runs out my ears. As long as it doesn't have sugar in it. There's a special place in Hell for anyone that would put sugar in cornbread.

Per AccuWeather yes. The cone of damage now predicts barely missing Tupelo to the west.
Tain to start here at 10:00 PM/76 degrees, then slack till 12:00 and 1:00 again. Down to 71.

Then tomorrow (Thursday) at 12 to 1 AM, pause, resume on thru 5,6,7,8 AM, pause then 11 thru 3 PM, break then 5 and 6 PM .Gonna be damp...

Relatives in Plaquemine, LA (Near B/Rouge)said landed there at 5:25 ( Could vary as; their, DLS, or KY time as relayed from there thru KY to me) heavy tain, strong winds at 45 MPH and on generator power now. Assumption hospital-(rural hospital )1 hour from B/Rouge on generator. They out in parish alongside a canal, so not much to devastate...
Thursday probability of tain: Day, 100%, 3.56 inches, thurs nite 90% and .49 inches.....
Google AccuWeather.com, Tupelo. MS, 38801 to view...
