    Pittsburgh power can build cat engines that put out something like 1,000 HP at flywheel and something like 800 to the ground. My understanding is all the truck engines makers in US measure the HP at flywheel. In the video the Scania drive axles look huge.

    I know a couple locals that have built trucks that are pushing 900+ HP at the crank... But they take a good driver to know how to operate a truck like that. One guy I know has burnt his down twice because someone was pushing it a little too hard while not paying attention.

    Most I've ever been behind the wheel of was somewhere around 750 at the crank... Thing pulled like a dream and could easily build 60 pounds of boost.
