This is simply not true, there are no work visas available for foreign truck drivers, no companies fly them back and forth. In Canada yes, but not in US. Yet at least.
However it is true that a crazy amount of people were let through Mexican border during last few years and a lot of them went into trucking. I am not sure about other nationalities, but I would say over over 70% of Russians and Ukrainians who came in during last 3 years ended up in trucking.

work visas arnt needed to come over. Lots of people have travel visas for 10 years. They come and go as they wish for months at a time.

So you are telling me the guys I’m talking to are lying? I was told that they fly back-and-forth from Ukraine and Russia. They don’t live here. The company in Chicago gives him an address that they don’t live in. They use that on their CDL. Also explains that many do do not know any English at all. None. They cannot even read a sign that says trucks left lane only. The thing about them telling me they’re flying back-and-forth, I believe. They showed me pictures of their family and we spoke of life in Europe. I asked if they will ever bring their family over here, the guys I spoke to said no it’s too expensive or other personal reasons.

You could not be more wrong, you can fill out an app on your phone giving you a legal means of being here seeking asylum, that is why you can't call the border jumpers illegals, they are legally here seeking asylum, about 98% of Ukranians, or basically any where from Eastern Europe enter the US this way. Then they can just fly home, when ever they want, and come back at any time and just fill out a questionnaire on the app again to get legal status to be here. The US government is actually paying to fly people here, right now as I type this. How do you think 2000 Haitains, got into the middle of nowhere Ohio? or 4000 middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania? Your government paid your tax dollars to fly them here, same with the Ukrainians, and the eastern Europeans. They don't even pay to fly here, the government pays to fly them in. That is how they are telling you border crossings are low right now but numbers keep going up on illegal immigrants, the government is paying to fly them in.

So tell me when you go to the Fuel aisle at the truckstop and there’s only one American truck there and everyone else doesn’t even know how to speak English. Half the time they’re not even fueling they do what they want whenever they want.. I guess they’re long US citizens. I don’t know what world you’ve been living in? And don’t say I can’t tell the difference… I was not born in the US myself. I have spoken with Ukrainians and Russians myself and they told me that they only come here for work and then fly back home.

If they are flying back and forth, it means they either have a Green Card or hold US Citizenship. If they choose to live in the truck for 6 months, so they can relax overseas for the rest of the year, than they are no different compare to locals who for example have paid off property and choose not to drive during winter time .
Them not speaking English and Chicago companies doing illegal things is a different topic. From your first post I got an impression, that you are repeating a very popular nonsense that any foreign truck drivers can just come and work here easily

Almost everyone that is in the OTR business is foreign. By a huge margin if you are an American driving a truck OTR, you are a minority. I’m not talking about Fuel hauling agriculture or none of that stuff just OTR. It’s the reason why rates are so low, you can’t park anywhere there are plastic bottles all over in the bathrooms, the doorhandles and walls of the bathrooms are covered in poop, everyone drives in the right lane when the sign says the trucks in right lane, there is no regard for etiquette at the Fuel aisle, and shippers and receivers are frustrated that they cannot even communicate the most basic language to the driver. Foreign companies setting up shop in the United States with foreign drivers are killing this industry, especially if you’re in a dry van industry. It is lunacy to not acknowledge what is going on. Things are so bad there’s even people using factoring companies because they can’t make it from one month to another because of the rates are so low.
