Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Foreign drivers who don't speak English most likely are not citizens, they either have a green card or TPS, that they received after crossing the Southern border and applying for asylum

 

You’re probably absolutely right. Or the northern border through Canada.

 

They have taken over the industry. I don’t know how. But trucking has become the go to industry for foreigners. And it’s not better for it.

 

I don’t fault the individuals doing this. They’re doing the best they can and taking advantage of the situation I would say they’re probably intelligent for doing so however, at some point, those that are in the country affected most importantly in the industry affected need to at least recognize what’s going on.

 

Yes, if you are in Canada, but get in the USA somehow, you can apply for an asylum and while waiting for the immigration court to decide your fate (that can take years), you get a SSN and right to work here

 

I believe Canada is in a similar situation too.

 

Trucking is an easy way in if you’re going to a country and your language this weak. As a new immigrant, you’re probably not going to get a management position at Google. I don’t get butt hurt about foreigners coming to this country and wanting the American dream and sacrificing for it. But when guys come over and only use the system and go back home because they could live off cheap freight, no one in this country can compete with that that includes Foreigners that have come here and built lives here. @DUNE-T

 

I suspected that, but didn’t know

 

I don’t fault them. I fault the fact that Americans will cut off their nose to spite their face. Want cheaper clothes? We export all the textile Jobs overseas. Want cheaper construction? We import labor from south of the border. Want cheaper appliances? Import from Asia. Want cheaper transportation? Bring in eastern euro drivers.

 

Don't blame the people for wanting a better life than they have in their home country, blame the politicians and corporations who want/need cheap labor. It started back in slavery days and still continues nowadays just in a different form.
America was built on cheap fresh immigrant labor.
Every economic boom cycle (like we had after Covid) expect for the borders to open up and let in a new chunk of immigrants
