I saw the surgeon today and he scheduled the surgery for Tuesday.
He is wasting no time, not even waiting for approval from workman's comp. He said it was too time sensitive for that.

 

I just got home from the surgery.
So much fun.

As I have adverse reactions to any med ending in cain they were not able to give me a shot for the pain in the OR.
So a small amount of Fentanyl and some Oxy is what they gave me when I woke up. That helped.
Still some pain, but not really that bad considering.

My leg has a brace that locks it straight, which will have to remain in place for the next 2 weeks. Joy.
Sleeping is going to be a problem.

 

lost hills ca.
waiting for other driver to show up.
saw that a trailer tire was flat 12 mikes from here.
so drove to loves and shop is closed.
so onroad sent t/a here to fix.

 

my normal switch driver was taking old trucks back to pheoniz and taking newer trucks back to lathrop all this week.
so had a releif driver in his place.
i been getting back to terminal and logging off duty rite near my 14 clocks end all this week.
my normal truck was due its bit service so got a loaner today

 

How is your recovery coming along? The pain should be better .

 

I'm doing well. Thank you for asking.
There hasn't been a lot of pain through this entire ordeal, except for that first week after the injury and a little right after the surgery.
The only pain med I took today has been 2 Motrin.

More pain is coming, when I am able to start flexing my knee again. And basically learning how to walk normally again.
About 50 years ago I had corrective surgery on both knees, so I pretty much know what to expect. At least this time I am not in a full leg cast.

 

truck still in shop. shop says done friday.
brake chsmber and a air valve needed replaced. and front rubber plugs replaced.(think these are covers for front wheel seal).
had to order all the parts.

 

jurupa terminal not letting empties leave.
very high winds.
at shipper yesterday trailer had a flat.
took tech 4 hrs to arrive.
didnt get to lost hills till 1930.
other driver blew his tire around santa nella.
he arrived around 2200.
i didnt arrive here and shut down till 0200.
did a 8/2 SPLIT in order to make it back
