I have my own authority. I have over a dozen 53' dry van roll up door trailers. They were given to me to do something with. My cousin got them off the auction and he is OTR. I got them from him cause I thought I could sell them. Wow. Guess what? They haven't sold. He wants some money for them and I don't have it and don't know what to do with the trailers. They need to be used on loads or sold, but I mostly work drayage and swing door dry van. I don't know what to do with them. People hate roll up doors. I can't use them on the OTR runs I do and I can't sell them because nobody is buying them. You guys have any ideas? They been sitting for almost 2 months. What should I do with them? Help me.

Are they old junk? Salvage yard is an option. I got $1000 for my busted 53 foot last year. Otherwise what about auctions? Ritchie Bros has sites all over. May get some cash from them. If you do salvage, you can always remove the inner duals and mix and match the best tires and wheels, good parts from each trailer etc. to use yourself, or re-sell on Craig’s or Marketplace.

They are not junk. They can still pull freight. I thought about salvaging them. They said you have to take them apart and that is just not possible. Do you know what kind of shipper would take dry van roll ups? Maybe I can see if they will let me put them on a contract with them or something. I have a couple of tractors and 2 drivers. They pull drayage, but drayage is on and off so much I would rather have them on a contract somewhere. Giving them back to my cousin is not possible. He is over the road. He doesn't have a yard. I have a drop yard and a building. It would cost too much to take them to Atlanta where he is from down here in Jacksonville, FL. It's just too much. I would rather see them put to work than sold, but they need gone one way or the other.

Does anyone know a salvage yard that will take the whole thing without asking me to take it apart?

LTL companies use roll ups or maybe sell as storage trailers

Your cousin sounds like a great person.... Tell cuzz to sell them and you take a cut for being generous enough allowing him parking them on your yard. Why are you letting your cousin stomp all over you like that and act like he's the one doing you a favor? It was a hair brained idea to make an easy buck that backfired now he's demanding you pay him? Haha sure..

The one I used had nothing like that. Just said drop it in the yard and take off whatever you want to keep yourself. Just leave wheels on it it roll it around. I would call around.
Agreed. I’m guessing there’s things left unsaid here

Friend of mine bought a few of those from Kroger, then ended up selling them to a food service company.

Put a sign on the fence where they're parked:
    Storage trailers for sale
