Trucking isn't always a full time job. Some weeks are only 65 hours instead of 70. And company driving isn't too bad. They give you lots of freedom to choose "yes" or "no" on the load acceptance macro. Unfortunately, choosing no usually doesn't end all that well, but you can still give it a try

Look into hotshot work if you're wanting it to not be a full time thing. I'd imagine that's the only way to bring operation and insurance costs down to the point it'd even be an option. Could do luxury car transport or transport boats (probably not that common in AZ lmao) or whatever for clients.

Probably find a Chicago 1099 company that will even get you a fake CDL and send you on your way to figure out how to drive a truck on your own.

You CAN do those types of jobs , but you’re finding to have to get some experience with regular normal trucking first .
my neighbor does heavy haul oversize loads
always a challenge .
