I'm pretty sure 2 months is enough time for something to show up in the PSP. But I'm not willing to bet my life on it. Hiring for everyone is very slow right now and MOST companies won't tell you why they didn't hire you, they just don't hire you.
You need to find out what your last employer will say when contacted about your job? If you are lucky they will not give more information than your start and stop dates, nothing else. The future employer will ask if you are eligible for re-hire at the company you left. Best case scenario they answer "yes" or give no answer.
Did your employer consider the event an accident or an incident when they discussed it.
PLEASE DON'T TELL ME WHAT YOU WISH THEY WOULD HAVE SAID. If you were a video camera in the room what would that video camera recording the conversation between your company and you have recorded, whether you like it or not? It's not important what YOU called the event. How did the company refer to the event? How big is the company?

One of their drivers hit my truck at a loading dock two nights ago. Just got his license, talking on the phone trying to back up in the rain. Didn’t even know how to detach from his trailer. I went full bipolar on himAttached Files:

If the application asks for your accident/incident history....list it! Between the compliance department and the insurance company they are gonna find it - and then they will terminate you for a false application, which will definitely go on all the driver hiring services data banks.

Try Midwest Freight Systems. They're close by Detroit. The fact that you had a tow involved is what's hurting you. Insurance companies do look at that. I had an accident years ago and one company turned me down because of the tow involved. It's a very shaky at best market for drivers. Companies are looking for the cream of the crop in the industry. These days, even the smallest incident will get you turned away.
