You're absolutely missing the point. If someone says premeditated lies about you, damaging your livelihood or even peace of mind, that's enough a reason for you to do something about it and you should not let it stand.

For the record, I have two brokers crying about me in C411. You know how many times it's cost me money? Zero.
If people are going bankrupt over some broker's complaints than I'm afraid they were already on the edge and it's their operations that are killing them. Blaming brokers, rates, dispatchers etc etc is weak.
Spot freight is not always profitable. It has ups and downs. If you're struggling on the downs then park the truck and return when the market improves.
Carriers must fall to correct the imbalance. This will never change. -
Is the issue that it simply exists or is the issue carriers can’t see or respond to it?
Carrier411 could make some serious money if they went the way of TrustPilot. They could have pricing tiers and sell carriers subscriptions that fit their operation. TrustPilot has plans from $250 to over $1000 a month depending on how your business wants to interact with the reviews people have left. Brokers can sign up for free (like the public signs up for free to leave reviews of businesses on TrustPilot) and carriers pay a monthly subscription to be able to see and respond to the reviews (like businesses have to do on TrustPilot).
Selling a $250 monthly subscription seems like a decent way for Carrier411 to generate some income and if that option was there carriers wouldn’t be able to cry anymore.gentleroger Thanks this. -
They can make reviews and say whatever they want, sure, that's protected but not without consequences, if those things are damaging lies. -

I'm not a fan of the creator of the petition or ran into that particular flavor of ahole broker but still signed. It's not an easy snap to win a defamation lawsuit unless it's just completely egregious so there needs to be other recourse here. Doubly so since most the damage from 411 is aimed at small business.

It makes no difference to me either way. They cannot hurt a good carrier IMO.
Too many people act as if C411 is some of governing body. I've had many brokers tell me they don't use it and several who have never heard of it while most claim it's worthless unless there's a clear and obvious pattern.
