The part that most seem to have skipped over is that he’s leased to a carrier. At the end of the day all the hair splitting is useless because he’s playing in someone else’s sandbox.

I went to a few truck shows this summer and I logged my drive time to and from. Why? Because I’m leased to a carrier and that’s what was asked of me.

I like your dedication. If you park her in your driveway, wash it there. That is the only way you’ll get away with it, as washing is considered a maintenance, on duty item.

    That's right.

What's sad is there are people on this forum that actually think that owning (or leasing) the truck changes this and they provide disinformation to the masses via this forum.

I agree but is he required to log it on duty if he is at home, on a saturday changing his brakes? I don't know the answer, just something to think about. I DO believe what the other guy said, you will find yourself arguing with DOT and filing a dispute.
Now, if it were me, I'd PC like a mofo, stop at a seven eleven near the truck wash, buy a pepsi and keep the receipt. Let them prove otherwise.

It’s not uncommon for some to bag people waiting in line at the repair shop.

It would be interesting to see them trespass on someone’s property and try to determine who is working on the truck, washing it and try to fine them.
