Between work, house projects, and weather things haven’t lined up for riding on my days off for a while. I got rid of my Salsa Journeyer a while back and today I finally got a chance to head out on my Long Haul Trucker. There’s something so good and simple about cantilever brakes and friction shifting.
D.Tibbitt, cuzzin it and Big Road Skateboard Thank this. -
I went to the Bicycle Museum today

The Bicycle Museum of America in New Bremen OH is a must.
Bicycle Museum of America
Check with them first, but I think there are parking lots that can handle a tractor trailer.
I has among other things, the complete collection of the former Schwinn Corporation
The benefactor is an owner of Crown Forklifts.cuzzin it Thanks this. -

Working on this and fine tuning the route based on towns with services on the way to Valentine. So far it’s sitting at only 10% paved roads for the whole route. Just a dumb idea I have for this coming summer.
Studebaker Hawk, Oxbow and cuzzin it Thank this. -
Hwy 20 follows that Cowboy trail for much of that distance. There is town every 10 or 15 miles, as the train route is from steam engine days and water stops became towns
Last i checked couple years ago the was shuttle from bike shop in norfolk drop you off in Valentine. Maybe even Chadron
I am hoping to do it this summer. But might be the nextLast edited: Nov 10, 2024
