Usually, the truck gives you plenty of notice before it will shut down due to regin. Did you ignore it?

Honestly I thought it would preform a running regin like it normally does while I’m driving but while parked I checking the exhaust meter it was half way filled which lead me to believe it needed it right then and there so I preformed the regin while on the side of the road. The check engine light was on also the red one too

I mean you’re new, so I can see how this happened, but you basically got fired for pulling off to the side of the road to do a regen that you should have done somewhere safer.

and then the accident happened so that exasperates everything of course. If the accident didn’t happened, ypu probably would’ve just gotten a warning or nobody would’ve even noticed.

It’s like after doing safety protocol by hazards and triangles a simple error was made which could have been a write up or verbal warning but being fired is just simply the lowest to go. Besides company trailer being totaled. company tractor only had a broken mirror

That’s what the hire up was trying to say that if an accident didn’t occur I could’ve had a job but because it did there is nothing else to really defend for me to stay

That's not a reason to be parked on the side of the road.

My truck went into regen at a traffic light. I was stuck there blocking traffic and had to get out and put out cones to block traffic. Sat there for 45 minutes before I could leave.

How much warning did you get before it derated? They don't just suddenly refuse to move al all without a regen. And even when they fully derate you can still move at a crawl speed.

The early emissions trucks used to cut the torque way down during a derate. I got stuck on a hill once because it would die every time I tried to let the clutch out. But I had pushed my luck by ignoring the warning light.
